The Poem

Martin Luther King JR.

Quote

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

This means to people that every should be treated equally. It does not matter if you are white, black, or brown. It matters how you respond to things, it does not matter how people look. All people in the world should not be treated by the color of their skin but by their contents.

For me this means that every person should be treated equally it does not matter if the person is white, brown, or black. It does not matter if the person is a woman or a man. In this world everybody has the same right to be free from by being discriminated! People should be seeing for the way they act. I know that Martin Luther King JR. made a good point and this quote belongs to everybody. People should think about this phrase and think it for a good period of time as I did!

Langston Hughes

Harlem (A Dream Deferred)

Maybe it just sags

like a heavy load.

Does it dry up

like a raisin in the sun?

Or fester like a sore--

And then run?

Does it stink like rotten meat?

Or crust and sugar over--

like a syrupy sweet?

Or does it explode?

The Poem (A Dream Deferred)

Does it burn up

like wood in the fired?

Or is it rip like food--

And then smelly?

Does it rusty like metal?

Or colorful and bright

like a painting?

Maybe it melts

like a ice cube.

Or does it get electrocuted?

This is about a dream. It says that it banish from your reaches. Do you quit when you can't reach it. "Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun?" For me this poem is mostly like you have less chance to achieve your dream. If you play your cards right there most be a chance to a achieve your dream. Lets say that the door closes at you but a window opens! So is better never to quit when you are trying to achieve your dream.

People Dreams in America

This are short paragraphs that explain the dreams of my parents.
Everybody in this country have dreams to accomplish. People in this country want to have freedom! As my mother says that a great dream for her is to be treated equal and many people in this country want this dream to come true. She also wants the best for her children. She wants the family to be healthy. She wants to become a citizen of this country. She says that this country dream is to get the economy better.

My father's dream is to pay off the house. He also dreams of being a citizen of this country. He also dreams of improving his workshop. He wants his children to be someone in life that is important. He wants his children to finish school. After that he says that his and other children should be able to get a career or go to collage. He says that America's dream is to have the best economy and also to help people in trouble around the world.

Illegal Immigrants in America

Immigrants that live in this country should stay. They should not be force to leave back to their countries, only because some enter illegally to this country but they did it for a reason to help their families back home. They should stay cause they have being living many years in this establishment and also the immigrants know how to do their jobs right. Immigrants also pay taxes.

This country is one of the best, so that's why immigrants come here to support their families back in their country because their countries don't have the great things that this country has.Families should not be broken up because if there is no good parenting the children's life becomes very messy. If there is no love the child will never learn what love truly is. In this country everybody is an immigrant, only the natives are original from this country. Immigrants in this country are helping the economy that's what Mr. Obama said in a speech.

Immigrants should stay because their helping the United States by paying their taxes. Immigrants mostly pay 50% to 75% of taxes. The immigrants work jobs that other people don't want to do! They work hard jobs and nasty jobs. Mostly people that are born here are the one who have a better job than the immigrants. If the immigrants are send to country there will be no one to do the immigrants' jobs.

My Goals Accomplish

I accomplish 4 goals out of the 15 goals I listed. The goals I accomplish are number 2,11,12,and 15. First, goal is number 2 is about getting a high rank in JROTC. Second, goal is number 11 this goal is about my health is about eating vegetables a whole month. Third, goal number 12 is about eating fruit in the morning everyday. Fourth, this is the last of the goals I completed this month. This goal is number 15 this goal is about improving my drawing and then post my drawing.

I completed goal number 2 by working very hard in all my classes. I also completed this goal by helping the teachers. I did all my homework thanks to the help of my friends. I push myself to be the best cadet that I could be! My new rank in JROTC is Staff Sergeant. I completed goal number 15 by drawing everyday a little more and more. I practice everyday drawing basic shapes and figures. My sister and brother where drawing with me so this keep me going.

I completed goal number 11 by the help of my mother. She eats a lot of vegetables everyday of the week. At first I didn't like eating vegetables but I got the hang of it. I thank my mother by helping me accomplish my goal. At last I completed goal number 12 by the help of my father. He eats fruit every morning so when he wakes up he wakes me up also to tell me to eat some fruit in the morning before I leave to school. I thank my father for helping me. I like eating fruit better then eating vegetables but they are healthy to everybody so I recommend that you eat fruit everyday.
